Safety Officer
Phoenician Technical Services is looking for a motivated and qualified Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai on a full-time basis, with immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with UAE laws and applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance.
- Monitor compliance with industry safety standards and ensure a safe working environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Support emergency preparedness by developing evacuation plans and response procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Organize and deliver occupational health and safety training for employees and site personnel.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
- Develop and maintain OHS policies, programs, inspection records, and incident reports.
- Coordinate with relevant government authorities, safety organizations, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure the required certifications and registrations are maintained for relevant authorities, including RTA and DEWA, as applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- University Diploma in Engineering, Science, or Safety
- NEBOSH International Certificate
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of UAE experience
- IOSH (Optional)
- Fluent in English
- A team player with proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Proven working experience in Safety in the construction field
