Cost Control Engineer
Phoenician Technical Services is looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Dubai on a full-time basis, with immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project expenditure, budgets, commitments, and cost forecasts.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analyses, cash-flow forecasts, and estimate-at-completion reports.
- Track project profitability and identify potential budget overruns and cost-saving opportunities.
- Review BOQs, contract requirements, project scope, and budget revisions.
- Monitor procurement costs, purchase orders, material consumption, and subcontractor expenses.
- Track project variations and assess their financial impact.
- Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs against project performance.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Stores, Finance, and Planning teams.
- Maintain accurate cost records, forecasts, and supporting documentation.
- Support internal and external audits when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related engineering field
- Professional certification in Cost Control, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction and project cost control principles
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience
- A team player with proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
