Process Engineer
Phoenician Technical Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our team in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, reviewing, and monitoring technical processes related to landscape irrigation, water distribution, pumping systems, and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, layouts, and documentation related to landscape irrigation and water distribution systems.
- Assist in the design and development of irrigation networks, including pipelines, valves, pumps, filters, and control systems.
- Calculate water requirements, flow rates, operating pressures, and irrigation system capacities based on landscape and project requirements.
- Coordinate with landscape architects, irrigation engineers, MEP engineers, civil engineers, and project teams to ensure proper integration of irrigation systems.
- Review approved drawings, material submittals, technical specifications, and equipment data sheets.
- Monitor the installation of irrigation pipelines, pumping stations, valves, controllers, and associated equipment at project sites.
- Ensure that irrigation systems are installed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Coordinate irrigation system testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Identify technical issues related to water distribution, pressure variations, leakage, and irrigation performance, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding technical requirements, materials, equipment, and installation procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
- Ensure efficient water usage and support the implementation of water-saving irrigation methods and systems.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship and report non-compliance to the project team concerned.
- Ensure compliance with project safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company quality standards.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings, operation and maintenance documentation, and project handover records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- University Degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ UAE experience in Relevant experience in irrigation systems, water management, pumping systems, or landscape infrastructure projects.
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of irrigation network design, hydraulic calculations, water distribution, and pumping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, specifications, and method statements.
- Knowledge of testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and quality control procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering design software.
- Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate with site teams, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
