Mechanical Design Engineer
Phoenician Technical Services is looking for a creative and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be responsible for MEP design, engineering, coordination, and technical development across residential, commercial, high-rise, lagoon, amenities, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate MEP designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documents.
- Design and coordinate HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, electrical, and other building services.
- Coordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural, civil, landscape, and specialist disciplines.
- Develop and review BIM/Revit models and resolve design clashes and coordination issues.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical proposals, and equipment selections.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve MEP-related site issues.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, authority requirements, and project specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant MEP design experience, preferably in high-rise towers, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or large-scale developments
- Proven experience in MEP design, engineering calculations, multidisciplinary coordination, and design review
- Strong knowledge of applicable international standards, local authority regulations, building codes, and project specifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, Trimble SketchUp, Graph iSOFT ArchiCAD and MS Office; knowledge of relevant MEP calculation/design software is preferred
- Previous experience in the UAE/GCC region and knowledge of local authority requirements is an advantage
