Draftsman/QS Assistant
Phoenician Technical Services is looking for a detail-oriented QS-Draftsman Assistant to join our team in Dubai on a full-time basis, with immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings for landscaping, civil, and related works.
- Maintain drawing standards, layers, scales, and revision control.
- Review and coordinate technical drawings to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Assist the Quantity Surveying team with quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
- Calculate material quantities for paving, kerbs, concrete, irrigation, hardscape, softscape, and other landscape works.
- Compare drawings with BOQ quantities and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and quantity measurement sheets.
- Update drawings based on site changes and project requirements.
- Coordinate with QS, Engineering, Site, and Project Management teams.
- Support the preparation of variations, interim measurements, and material quantity calculations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and drawing layer management
- Understanding of construction/landscape drawings and measurements
- Basic to good knowledge of quantity take-off and BOQ preparation
- Knowledge of Excel and measurement sheets
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience in a landscaping or construction company is preferred
