Senior Quantity Surveyor
Phoenician Technical Services is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai on a full-time basis, with immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate Quantity Surveyors and Junior QS staff, ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables.
- Provide technical and commercial guidance, training, and development to the QS team.
- Oversee monthly commercial reports, project cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete assessments.
- Manage variation and claims registers, payment applications, subcontractor payments, and final accounts.
- Review procurement costs, commercial rates, subcontractor terms, and supplier agreements.
- Review project budgets, cost forecasts, and commercial performance.
- Recommend variation and claim values, cost-saving measures, and commercial strategies.
- Participate in contract negotiations and commercial reviews.
- Monitor commercial risks and opportunities, escalating significant issues to senior management.
- Establish standardized QS procedures, templates, and reporting systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
- Professional qualifications such as RICS is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of construction and landscape commercial practices
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial administration
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant Quantity Surveying / Commercial experience
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or senior QS position
- Experience in landscape, infrastructure, external works or construction projects is strongly preferred
- UAE / GCC experience is highly desirable
- Experience in large-scale landscape projects, villas, hotels, commercial developments, parks or infrastructure projects is an advantage
